Whether you’re just starting out or building current skills, taking classes can help you achieve your skating goals.
Learn to Skate
Many of our skaters started their journey in the Learn to Skate program. Our home rink, John Breslow Ice Hockey Center, offers Learn to Skate Classes that start from age 3 and continue through adult levels.*
Classes are set up to be a progressive program with skills that build on themselves from one level to the next. Skaters start in a Beginner Class (Snowplow Sam 1 for ages 3-5, Basic 1 for ages 6-17, Hockey 1 for ages 4 & Up, Adult 1 for ages 18 & Up), then move up to the next level once they master their classes curriculum.
Classes are 30 minutes with 15 minutes of practice time between classes, and Skate rental is included.
This workout class focuses on speed, agility, control, core strength, and flexibility.
Classes are held Thursday evenings 5:30-6:30 PM starting with 30 minutes on the ice, then 30 minutes off the ice.*
This class is offered to skaters who have completed Level 5 in Learn to Skate USA or are Squirts or PeeWees in a hockey program.
