Getting Started

It’s exciting to start a new sport, but it can also be overwhelming. Here is some information to make the beginning of your figure skating journey a little bit easier.

Learn to Skate USA

Classes available through John Breslow Ice Hockey Center

An introduction to skating, Learn to Skate programs are designed to teach the fundamentals of skating while fostering a love for the sport. Breslow offers group class options for all ages and abilities.*

Private Coaching

Work one-on-one with a SCFSC coach.

If group classes aren't your thing, we encourage you to connect with one of our coaches for private lessons. Our coaches teach and inspire competitive and recreational skaters, sharing the joy of figure skating and creating a lifelong love of the sport.​

Gearing Up

Properly fitted skating boots with figure blades will help your skater make progress quicker.

iSkateOmaha is the nearest figure skating shop is in Omaha at Rockbrook Village. They are an authorized dealer for Jackson Ultima, Riedell, Risport,  Edea, Aura, MK and John Wilson boots and blades. They also carry skate guards, skate soakers, skate bags, tights, leggings, and other apparel.​

Consignment

Gently used figure skates and accessories.

Buying used figure skates, dresses, and accessories is a budget-friendly option to start your skating journey. You can get high-quality gear without breaking the bank.
